The attack, which killed and injured several people, including Chinese citizens, was carried out by the terrorist group ISIS.
The Security Council said this act was a clear violation of international law and a serious threat to international peace and security. Its members reaffirmed their commitment to fighting terrorism in all its forms.
The Council called on all UN member states to work together and take necessary measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
